Excel Risk Register

This is the Microsoft Excel risk register format we normally use for risk workshops and is free for you to download and use. The register uses a direct subjective evalation (High/Medium/Low) to prioritise each risk, opportunity or uncertainty. This is our alternative suggestion for prioritisation of a management focussed register. The key features of the register are:

  • Driven by a Macro/VBA based user input form, this makes the form easier to use and easier to read when projected in a workshop (text is larger and there is no scrolling)
  • Record a response strategy and specific supporting actions for each item
  • Sort the register by priority, status, owner etc
  • Quantitative section provides Mean Value and Variability for each item
  • Outputs printable Excel reports focussed optimised for Management or Analysis
